Birthday party and new clothes

Randolph and Josh both had birthdays this weekend...so Randolph hosted a great party.

With good food...
and good friends.interesting decorations (tiki torches and tissue paper!)
Josh grilled lots of meat and veggies,
and everyone danced.
My friend Leatitia introduced me to her tailor recently and I'm having clothes made from some of the brightly colored African fabric I have bought. This is the first outfit, and I pick up a second one next week. Fun!

Thanks for sharing your new friends with us! It looks like an interesting, fun and close-knit group of people.
I think it is great that you will have brightly colored clothes from Rwandan fabric as a momento of your time in Africa. When you wear them after you are home, I'm sure they will bring a smile to your face as you remember your wonderful experience in Rwanda. I think you will always wear them confidently too, as you reflect on all of your accomplishments during this trip too. And of course, you look fabulous in the outfit in the picture! See you soon - Love, Mom

Remember just before you were leaving when you were worried you wouldn't make any new friends...

Your old friends are excited to get you back on the continent but so very proud of what you've done. See you soon.
